Sharing terms

Effective 21 August 2026

These terms apply when you share a template publicly in CAPTURES Studio. They are in addition to your existing agreement with us. If you never share a template, none of this applies to you — your work stays private by default.

1What sharing does

When you share a template, its frame artwork and preview become visible to other signed-in CAPTURES users. They can view it, save it, and copy it into their own account, where they may edit it and use it in their own photo booth — including for commercial events.

You keep ownership of your artwork. Sharing grants other users permission to use it in their frames; it does not transfer your rights to us or to them.

2You must have the right to share it

By sharing a template you confirm that you created the artwork, or that you hold the rights needed to use it and to let others use it in the way described above.

Licensed and stock images usually do not permit this. A licence that lets you use an image in your own work will often not let you redistribute it for other people to reuse. Check your licence before sharing. The same applies to fonts, illustrations, characters, logos and brand marks that belong to someone else.

3We do not check what you upload

We do not review artwork before it is shared and we cannot verify that anyone holds the rights they say they hold. Responsibility for what you share rests with you.

If sharing your template infringes someone else's rights, that is between you and the rights holder. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for artwork uploaded or shared by users, and you agree to cover any claim, loss or cost we incur because of something you shared.

4Reporting and removal

Any user can report a shared template. We may remove a template from the public catalogue at any time, with or without a report, and without notice — for example when we receive a rights complaint or believe content is unlawful or inappropriate.

Removal takes the template out of the catalogue and deletes its public files. Your own private copy is not deleted.

If you believe a shared template infringes your rights, email [email protected] with a link to the template and a description of the work you say it copies. We aim to review reports within three working days.

5Copies other people have already made

Unsharing a template removes it from the catalogue. It does not delete copies other users have already made — those are their own projects by then, and may already be loaded onto a booth or printed at an event.

If a template is removed because of a rights complaint, we may also contact users who copied it.

6What we record

Each time you share a template we record that you confirmed these terms, together with the date, time and your IP address. We keep this so we can respond accurately to rights complaints.

The name shown beside a shared template is the creator name you choose. Your account name and email address are never shown publicly.

7Changes

We may update these terms. Templates you have already shared stay shared, and continued sharing after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be signposted in the Studio.
